It will be useful,
when you get towards the end of your holiday and funds
are getting low, to know where you can go for a cheap and
cheerful evening of fun.
We assume
that you'll be spending the day on the beach or by the
pool and since the Spanish don't start their evening
until much later, we suggest that you start the evening
with a drink - or several - at Jules Bar in 24-Hour
Square. You'll be here before the action heats up,
so it's a perfect time to enjoy the atmosphere and watch
the world go by.
When the
hunger pangs hit you could always hit McDonalds, a
branch of which is at Avenida Antonio Machado 14, if you
don't mind eating junk food. You don't have to
stoop as low as that, though, since there are plenty of
other reasonable restaurants. You should remember
that eating places in the marina tend to be more
expensive than the restaurants in town.
Chinese
restaurants on the Coast are generally a reasonable
deal, so Water Margin at Centro Comercial Olé 22 could
also be worth a try. Italian food can be found at
Pizzeria La Veneciana at Federico Garcia Lorca 4.
Since the
club scene goes on all night we imagine that you'll head
straight for bed, but if dawn arrives and you still feel
able to cope with a last drink before bedtime, try the
Dutch Inn, which is a friendly venue and popular with
British and Scandinavian tourists.
