Fuengirola
is an international melting pot, a fact which is represented not only by
the tourists but by the bars as well. One moment you can be enjoying a
pint of Guinness in an Irish pub and the next you could find yourself
trying to understand the lingo in a Swedish club.
The most lively place to be
is down on the Fuengirola
front. Here there are several concentrations of bars spread out along a
400 metre stretch. The bigger pubs incorporate many club elements, such as
dance floors and DJs. Funky Town's two most popular places
currently are the London Pub, which attracts mainly English
crowds and Old Town, a huge pub/club that has a more cosmopolitan
flavor. There are also a number of very cool theme pubs easily discovered
during a walk along the front. Prices in Fuengirola
vary and it is not unusual to pay as much as you would in Marbella
or Puerto
Banús in some bars.
The more concealed bars
spread out along the back streets of the town are popular with locals and
may also be worth a visit. Even if this town didn't have a club scene it
has enough nightlife in the bars alone to warrant a visit.
