Ronda is a picturesque, historical town located high above the rest of the Coast and about an hour's drive north of the small town of San Pedro de Alcántara. While the main attraction of this town has to be its historical monuments, such as the bullring and palace there are other pleasurable experiences to be had. Ronda has plenty of tapas bars and other establishments in which to relax, should walking around the town prove a little exhausting in the Andalucían sunshine. While you can go to the tourist places upon which Ronda is now economically dependent, there are local places that, around the time of the Goyesca, are popular with the Spanish.
