San
Pedro de Alcántara is a small, very Spanish
town, though rapidly becoming more commercialised, with the current
development of the Nueva Alcántara apartment complexes and the nearby
centro deportivo. It is situated between Marbella
and Estepona
and is still relatively unaffected by the intense concentration of
tourists, so as a result the number of bars is limited.
San Pedro does,
however, have two areas where a concentration of bars can be found. The
first is Las Palmeras, San Pedro's main street, where there are
several and the back streets of the town also feature a number of venues
which also offer excellent tapas.
Other than the famous
bikers' hangout, Bar Rafagas, on the Málaga to Algeciras
CN-340 road which runs in front of the town, you will have to venture
deeper into San Pedro to find any other sign of bar-related nightlife.
